Ever smashed your thumb while pounding a 16 penny nail? If so, then you understand what a Xogism is. It is the guttural sound that issues froth through pursed lips that, generally speaking, is not what you would shout in church. A word that can have a sexual innuendo or your frictional consideration to do with your mother. In either case this is not what you wanted to say but, hey, your brain has been summoned, through pain, to express itself in a way not complimentary to any familial relationship you have with your parents.
Odd that. Why must an epithet be aimed at you r family when you just smashed your own thumb? Shouldn’t it be aimed at you or, were you hung over from the night before? I was. I stopped having hangovers after my thumb nail fells off and I got the bleeding stopped. Wasn’t the first time either. Working in the 90 degree sun while installing glass can easily cause a dysfunction in the nerves traveling from brain to thumb nail. We know this to be true but what else do we know to be true?
That is what we will attempt to ferret out here at “Xogism.” A simple “ism: from an unexpected place. It calls for humor once the throbbing stops, in a day or two.
